Club Championship - The Club Championship is a two day tournament at two different courses with prize money awarded for low gross and low net in each flight. Note: tee times will be assigned by handicap index on day one of this tournament, and by gross scores within your flight on day two. The lowest handicap players in the field tee off first on day one and the lowest gross scores (after day one of play) in the A flight tee off last on day two. There will be a total of four (4) flights each day. Members must play both days to be eligible for prize money and must adhere to the following rules:

  • A member must be in good standing, have an established handicap, and have played a minimum of four (4) WWGL play dates prior to, but not including, the two championship rounds. Note that match play rounds do not count towards this four (4) play date rule.
  • All official score cards must be signed, attested and dated. If you find yourself playing as a twosome only, exchange cards and keep the other person’s score. Under no circumstances should you keep your own score on the official tournament score card.
  • Score cards should include the first and last name of each player.
  • Scores for both days of the championship tournament will be posted by the tournament committee as TOURNAMENT scores.
  • Questions regarding any of the rules should be addressed to a Board member immediately preceding or following the appropriate championship round.

If you are unable or do not want to play both days, you may still play one of the days. Players not signed up for both days or players not participating in the tournament will be sent out on the last tee times each day.

August 9

Springhill

All Holes O-N-E-S - Total score for all holes that start with "O", "N", "E" and "S" (holes #1, #6, #7, #8, #9, #11, #16, #17 and #18). 50% of your course handicap will be applied by the tournament committee to determine the winners in each flight.

Modified Stableford - This tournament is based on a point system in which players win points on each hole when their gross score equals: Eagle = 10 points, Birdie = 5 points, Par = 3 points, Bogie = 2 points, and Double Bogie = 1 point. All other scores receive 0 points. The highest point total in each flight wins. Score cards should include both your gross score and your Stableford point score.

The team with the better score wins the hole. Record only your team score on a separate line on your score card. Overall tournament winners will be determined by the lowest team scores in each flight. Note: scores cannot be posted for this tournament.
